Our Odyssey

Highligh Video

This winter, my friend and theatrologist Athina Arseni came up with the idea for a wonderful project called “Our Odyssey”, an educational and artistic journey inspired by Ithaca and the world of Homer. The project began in February and came to life through a series of creative activities with children, bringing together theatre, weaving, photography, creative writing, and guided exploration.

Divided into four chapters inspired by Odysseus, Penelope, Telemachus, and Homer, the children explored museums and places connected to Ithaca’s history and mythology, while creating, performing, photographing, and eventually writing their own personal “Odyssey.”

The journey culminated in May with a presentation and exhibition of the children’s work at Art with Love, followed by a screening of the project’s video at Ithaca Cinema. I had the pleasure of documenting the project through photography and video, capturing the children as they explored, created, and brought their own Odyssey to life

For anyone interested in discovering “Our Odyssey” in more detail, I have created a dedicated page where I have gathered the entire project in one place.

There you can find all the actions, details, information, photographs, and full-length videos I created throughout the project, giving you a chance to follow the journey from beginning to end.
