Anastasis’ baptism took place in November at the historic Kathara Monastery in Ithaca, on a rainy winter day that gave the photographs a completely different atmosphere from the typical summer baptisms on the island.

The soft natural light, wet stone, misty mountains, and muted colours of the landscape became part of the story. Instead of trying to avoid the rain, we embraced the conditions and used them to create more atmospheric and natural photographs.

This photography session focuses on the details of the day, the ceremony at Kathara Monastery, family portraits, and the small candid moments in between. A quieter, more documentary approach to baptism photography in Ithaca, away from the usual summer setting.
